@WeirdErnie some of the tricks with trials riding would smash a disk on the back like a pedal stand and v brakes actually have more stopping power than disk breaks because the stopping radius is larger than disk breaks so im guessing he wants the control of a disk on the front with the power/saf...

@popcornkid76 its pretty necessary especially on a fast rocky or bumpy trail you wont be able to break as well because your rear wheel will be spending more time in the air than actually stoping you but it can be done just youtube hardtail dh, there are some good riders
