I am an amateur photographer, and I do not aspire to be a professional photographer. The photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt, whose most famous photograph was V--J day in Times Square, said, "Once the amateur's naive approach and humble willingness to learn fades away, the creative spirit of good photography dies with it. Every professional should remain always in his heart an amateur." I may be able to earn a profit from my photography, but making money from the photos is not my aspiration.
