My name is Derek . i am a hardcore hobbyist for over 24 years . back in 1987 i was 17 and in high school , that was the time when my friend Gorge introduce me in to the world of RC . my first rc car was a tamiya grasshopper with a airtronics vector stick radio and a couple of sanyo cadnica 1200mah 7.2v nicd packs , but that was then , now i enjoy bashing & racing with my new and vintage fleet of cars & trucks . I recently got in to the world of RC flying by purchasing a PARROT AR.DRONE quadcopter that was control by a APPLE IPOD TOUCH but i did outgrow it in less than 2 months , i decided that i was needing something more powerfull so i got a GAUI 330xs quadcopter that was upgraded with a camera mount and extended motor mounts , it was control by a FUTABA 7c but now is control by a HITEC AURORA 9 transmiter .
