NOTE to my friends and SUBSCRIBERS: My computer had to be cleared of viruses - somewhere in the process, some other files were corrupted and I can't upload a video. I'm still here and I'll be back! :)

Over the last several months (years, really), I have been on a journey. My life has changed dramatically, and only one area would not budge - that of my body image and my weight. I faced the fact that I was obese, and exercise, calorie control, and just working my ass off weren't working to lose the weight or keep it off. So, I got over my hangups and decided to have weight loss surgery. This will be a video profile of my journey.

I decided to do this for two reasons - one, the video weight loss surgery community on youtube has helped me immensely in preparation and research, and I want to reach out to help others who are thinking about weight loss surgery. The other is for me. I want to record this journey for myself...to remind myself where I've been, my progress, and to encourage me when I feel discouraged.

I hope that others get as much out of my vlogs as I have gotten out of the thousands of videos I've watched here.

By the way, my choice for surgery was the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy, and due to insurance denial for ANY weight loss surgery here in the States, I chose to see Dr. Joya and his team in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I do not regret this for one instant, and in fact, am glad my insurance denied me. I don't have enough good to say about Dr. Joya and his team.

Aside from all of this, I'm an artist, I like to sing, and I work as a professional in database/spreadsheet work in a mental health company. And I write...and I like to joke...and I like exercise...and....well, let's just say I'm a lot more than what people might assume :)

Currently work in a mental health agency, but no longer in direct care. I work with database, authorizations, etc. And I prefer it at this present time in my life. I would like to develop my art, and music, and maybe even a bit of web information sites - each in its time.
