About this user
Before anything else I believe I am a human being, I was born to humans as a human and so share a commonality with all humans on the planet. However as we grow up we realize that humans are all categorized by different labels based on where and who they are born to, how they look, how they dress, what they eat and how they choose to live their lives. In a way this gives us an identity and a feeling of belonging which is OK, however more often than not it also accentuates our differences and leads to strife rather than understanding that it is our differences and that make this planet such an interesting place to live in and we should cherish and treasure this diversity. That said, I am an Indian who happens to be Hindu. I am a very proud Indian and am proud of India and Indians. Don't mistake it for arrogance, it is pride in my nations history, its culture, its people and the fact that we are overall a tolerant and progressive nation that has great things going for it and while we have a long way to go we will make it all the way. I understand that India has a lot of shortcomings and that we are not perfect in any way. Far from it. But I do believe that we are a nation that wants peace within its borders and with its neighbors. Also I realize that there are instances where minorities in India have suffered and like the majority of the population I do not condone it in any way and I also realize that the majority too have suffered in states where they are a minority but in no way is the solution to any problem violence or killing each other. Dialog and understanding is the only way to move ahead. However I am by no means a pacifist and I believe that there is a time for peace and there is a time when it is necessary to take action. I will respond respectively to comments and respect you and your religion (whatever it may be) as long you respect me. Peace to all and God bless India and the whole world.
