Dr. Jeannine Jordan

Jeannine is a champion of the organ and its music. She has traveled through the US and the world promoting and sharing organ music through her concerts, workshops, and teaching. As a professional organist, Jeannine enjoys a varied career. It includes university teaching positions, church music positions, as well as private studio teaching and independent performances and workshops. She is also the President and founder of Pro-Motion Music -- a company celebrating the world of the organ with its concerts,
publications and teaching studio.
Jeannine has performed throughout the United States and Europe on festival and recital series programs.Her concert career has also allowed her to share the joy of the organ in the exotic realms of Sri Lanka where she performed at the US Ambassador's Residence and for Radio Sri Lanka. In Zimbabwe, she performed with the Zimbabwe National Symphony and presented solo organ concerts and workshops. She has also performed and presented workshops in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and American Samoa.

Innovative, inspirational, creative, and enjoyable are the characteristics of Dr. Jordan's organ performances. She excels at bringing traditional organ music alive with the innovative sounds of today and tomorrow. Her wide organ repertoire includes artfully played classical masterpieces, the glorious music of JS Bach, lesser-known early
American music, and tastefully performed contemporary hymn arrangements. Concerts are creatively designed for each audience. Her playing exhibits finesse appropriate to the years of academic training in organ performance yet is captivating in its use of 21st-century technology.

In addition to solo concerts, Dr. Jordan and her media-artist husband, David, present two unique organ and media events, From Sea to Shining Sea and Bach and Sons. Both performances make use of not only visuals, but real-time camera projections of Dr.
Jordan's playing. The Jordan's innovative performances delight the music-lover, educator, historian and organist of any age and make friends for the organ worldwide.

Jeannine earned a Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance from Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas. She was awarded the Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Portland and the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in organ performance from the University of Oregon studying with John Hamilton and Guy Bovet. As a recording artist, Jeannine, with husband David Jordan released From Sea to Shining Sea-the DVD (Pro-Motion Music) featuring live performances on historic organs throughout the US. She also has seven CD recordings to her credit -- The Organ Music of Bach and Sons (Pro-Motion Music), From Sea to Shining Sea-the CD (Pro-Motion Music), 25th Anniversary Recital Favorites (Pro-Motion Music) , Music of the Fright (Pro-Motion Music), Thine is the Glory (Celebration Records), Bravo! Baroque! (Silver Recordings) and Christmas Memories (SuperGiftRecords).

Dr. Jordan is the author of On the Heels of an Organist (Lulu Press) and the compiler and editor of Early American Organ Solos -- a Nineteenth-Century Collection (Pro-Motion Music).
