ACTA - 'The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement' is a proposed plurilateral agreement for the purpose of establishing international standards on intellectual property rights enforcement.
ACTA would establish a new international legal framework that would create its "own governing body outside existing international institutions" such as - the World Trade Organization (WTO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) or the United Nations.
An open letter signed by many organizations, including Consumers International, EDRi (27 European civil rights and privacy NGOs), the Free Software Foundation (FSF), the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), ASIC (French trade association for web 2.0 companies), and the Free Knowledge Institute (FKI), states that "the current draft of ACTA would profoundly restrict the fundamental rights and freedoms of European citizens, most notably the freedom of expression and communication privacy."
[UPDATE] - It seems, SOPA and PIPA were just distractions! while they signed a copyright treaty "ACTA" behind the curtain...
US, Australia, Japan, Switzerland, and many EU nations have already signed this secret censorship pact last year in 2011.

Can you imagine your Internet Service Provider policing everything you do online?
Can you imagine generic drugs that could save lives being banned?
Can you imagine seeds that could feed 1000's being controlled and withheld in the name of patents?
This will become reality with ACTA.
ACTA is the Anti Counterfeiting Trade Agreement.
Disguised as a Trade Agreement, ACTA goes much, much further than that.
For the past 3 years, ACTA has been negotiated in secret by 39 countries.
But the negotiators are not democratically elected representatives.
They don't represent us, but they are deciding laws behind our backs.
Bypassing our democratic processes, they impose new criminal sanctions to stop online file sharing.
ACTA aims to make Internet Service & Access Providers legally responsible for what their users do online, turning them into Private Copyright Police & Judge, censoring their networks.
The chilling effects on free speech would be terrible.
In the name of patents, ACTA would give large corporations the power to stop generic drugs before they reach them people who need them, and stop the use of certain seeds for crops.
The European Parliament will soon vote on ACTA.
This vote will be the occasion to say no once and for all to this dangerous treaty.
As citizens, we must urge our representatives to reject ACTA.

WHOA QUALITY HERE IS HORRID OAO
I figured I want this uploaded when she checks up on midnight, hehe. Just in case I slept in, is all, so it's a little early. This was supposed to be uploaded on her acc as a surprise, but alas, password change ^^
First off, for everyone who watched this MMV, please drop a birthday comment or message to xxFireWarriorxx. Really, she deserves it! She's one of my oldest friends in YT and (I think) is struggling to adapt to her new college life, so a birthday wish might encourage her spirit. Also, she's one of the best at making videos from WMM with her kickass song choices, so if you're interested in her videos, please do subscribe her. Thanks for my YT friend, Des! :3 (yeah, I just spoiled you a little bit on PH chaps, hon. She told me AFTER the vid was finished otl)

Second, the reason I was on hiatus is, well, school. I know, lame reason. Still I hope this year's gonna have a great amount of changes due to this beauty called 'laptop'. If you're normal, you might think that's a good thing. If you're Genre Savvy however, you might notice why I only got a laptop now of all times and have the urge to drill me to a wall for being a techno-idiot. Well, see, my dad finally caved in and decided to get me one (although I've been saving for one myself) after many complications involving school materials—and lack of time thereof. There you have it.
Third, this one came out pretty...decent. As usual, I'm just gonna let you judge. Also, I'd like to rub it on Des' face that I made Break/Sharon on purpose so she can ogle at Break. The vid's name itself is 'Des' noseblood fuel'. No, I'm not kidding. There are some false words, so I apologize in advance. My connection got cut off that one time so please bear with me, people.
Fourth, HOLY PANCAKES, 1,000+ subs?! OAO I AM SO SORRY I FORGOT TO ADD THAT! Granted, I haven't checked until, what, a week ago? Still, that's no excuse *otl forever* Anyhow, thank you all who have supported me so far. No words can describe how I feel at the moment, honest.
Right, I'm babbling. Okay, I'm done here! :3
