Angels live inside me ... Audio only, Peter Hammill sings "Man-Erg" ... The Best Song Ever Writ ...... and this is the the best version of it I ever heard. Extraordinary live and solo version of the much-loved Van Der Graaf Generator classic. ================================ Man - Erg (LYRICS)
The killer lives inside me; yes, I can feel him move. Sometimes he's lightly sleeping in the quiet of his room; but then his eyes will rise and stare through mine, he'll speak my words and slice my mind inside. Yes, the killer lives.
The angels live inside me, I can feel them smile; their presence strokes and soothes the tempest in my mind and their love can heal the wounds that I have wrought. They watch me as I go to fall; well, I know I shall be caught while the angels live.
How can I be free? How can I get help? Am I really me? Am I someone else?
But stalking in my cloisters hang the acolytes of gloom and Death's Head throws his cloak into the corner of my room and I am doomed. But laughing in my courtyard play the pranksters of my youth and solemn, waiting Old Man in the gables of the roof: he tells me truth.
And I, too, live inside me and very often don't know who I am; I know I'm not a hero well, I hope that I'm not damned. I'm just a man, and killers, angels, all are these, dictators, saviours, refugees in war and peace as long as Man lives...
I'm just a man, and killers, angels, all are these: dictators, saviours, refugees. ============================== From the unofficial live and solo album "Skeletons of Songs".
I compiled the video myself utilising footage mostly downloaded from YouTube, with some of my own added effects and filters.

"History being made: - the first live performance of David Bowie and Mick Ronson together, and - the first performance of (a "half-written") "Width Of Circle" (as John Peel calls it)."
Audio only, David and friends play live on 'The Sunday Show' on BBC Radio, hosted by John Peel, recorded 05.02.1970 and broadcast 08.02.1970. David Bowie is on accoustic guitar, with the 'Tony Visconti trio', Tony Visconti on bass, John Cambridge on drums, and Mick Ronson on lead guitar, who David said had "... just came down from Hull and I met him for the first time about two days ago ...".
All of the pictures are my own artwork, and they took me hours, so please leave a comment with your three favourite images (mins/secs), in order.

I'm bothered. Audio only, here is a fabulous live and solo version of Peter Hammill singing "Losing Faith In Words", from the 'unofficial' live album "Uptown Theatre, Kansas City, 28th August 1981" (from the same concert as my earlier upload of "Flight").
I compiled the video montage myself using footage mostly uploaded from YouTube (thank you, YouTube), plus a few clips that I created myself, plus a few special effects of my own.

Now the dance of rapture begins ... Here is Peter Hammill singing "Shingle Song", from the 'unofficial' DVD live in Moscow 15 May 1995, accompanied by David Jackson, Stuart Gordon, and Manny Elias. This is the best version IMHO, although I'm sure the vote could be split.

Very atmospheric album.
Double CD - the first disk is just Peter with piano and voice - the second disk is just Peter with guitar and voice - great price too.
BUY IT !
It may be designed to replace the great album "Typical", which is now unavailable.
