Capt. In this video you said "I need to move the rest". You mean rotate it right? The heights stays the same. Or does the snake hollower allow for lift/decent motion?

Is this end grain hollowing? I'm having a hard time with the tool catching and putting a lot of pressure on the one way chuck.

Most turners advocate riding the bevel in order to prevent catching. I notice you don't do that. You seem to go into the work piece straight forward. I'm wondering if you're using a scraping methods or are the tools very sharp.

So basically, if I have a board that's 1 1/2 inches thick, I won't be able to make a bracelet. I would have to be a block of wood the circumference of the bracelet in order to work correct?

How did you go about drilling out the center portion for the hardward?

Did you attach the plate onto the other piece of wood with two sided tape only? Is that sufficient to hold the piece?

I notice that you don't use a lot of speed on the Lathe. Is this for control? Also, where you purchase your gouges?
