@pist43, you can microwave gumpaste at 10 secs or depends on the amount of the gumpaste you want to use. you just knead it after. it always works for me and the best tip my private cake decorating teacher taught me.

@baldwinhme, you can make edible glue by adding 1/4 tsp cmc or tylose powder to 1 1/2 tbsps of purified water (or cooled boiled water). it may look lumpy at first, but leaving the mixture in the fridge for a couple of hours will make lumps disappear. it lasts for a week.
