Art is subjective. As someone who appreciates anyone who can convey a story through their music, whether it be dance or lyrically, I just can't see it. I feel like this was simply for shock factor not for self expression.

The problem with Ashanti is that she doesn't have a strong voice. So many R&B artist raised the bar so high with their strong voices and incredible stage presences. She can sing but she can't saaaaaang. Get it? She needs to stick to songs that fit her sweet voice.

I base my opinion of what makes good music on two things: the passion put into it and how it makes me feel. After that performance, all I feel is confused. I don't understand her.
