The meeting of drummer Guillaume Lambert and guitarist Simon Belzil led to an overwhelming creation process. Recruiting their own ex-band mates, they decided to focus on forbearing musical structures without sacrificing heaviness. "The adoption of 7 strings guitars was quite interesting" says guitarist Simon Belzil. "It allows us to build different melodies while keeping the shreds very heavy. People who are not into metal or hardcore end up enjoying our music. If you're not the ninja-type in a show, you can always join the crowd for a big gang vocal part. I think the perspective of having a much wider crowd will help us achieve our goal; playing music day and night, 365 days a year."
With over 10 years of music experience, more than 1000 shows combined and living through absolute passion, PRESIDENT members are more than acquainted about what's warming their hearts, what truly makes them feel alive...
Composed by former members of 2 of the most renowned bands in the Montreal metal scene, Camilla Rhodes and Tears From The Sky, PRESIDENT is not looking for a 4 years term or a temporary place in power; PRESIDENT lives to establish themselves as the new force in metalcore music with the firm intention to bring back the stage-dive traditions and to make sure horns will be raised up in the air forever.
