The goal of the Global Lab project is to lay the foundations of the next generation of the web, which will be a web of 3D virtual worlds (both "mirror" and fictitious worlds) - rather than websites. The Global Lab is a collaborative 3D wiki space, where users (represented as avatars) engage in natural conversation, wisdom sharing, and decision making with other users/avatars on a global scale. Avatars can interact also with virtual objects, conduct experiments, and interact with simulations in the virtual world. In the project, the "Second Life" and OpenSimulator online 3D worlds are used to implement the Global Lab. Please visit the Global Lab in Second Life on our "island" called "NIIsland".
