I'm a kiwi living in Australia and all we got in NZ were English shows. I loved the Avengers & On the Buses & the Professionals & Callan. I loved Follyfoot & the buggleoos because of the dreamy girls. I was about 12 when most of these shows were on.

This was my first 45. . It didn't do much on the charts but still loved it.

debuted at no. 1 in New Zealand. Everyone thought who the hell is this band. Classic song.

It does sound different than the album. It looks live to me.

i saw Guess Who & 3 dog night in Auckland New Zealand in about 1972. I was about 14.

I didn't really appreciate their genius.

My fav year was 1976. 17 years old, left school , left home & spent the year picking apples and opening scallops and just soaked up every song. Now if i hear a song i know instantly when its from that year

i think 71 through to, and peaking at, 76 was the time for the soft ballad.The Eagles, America and Bread eased us through the early70's. Then i think music lost its way to the mighty dollar & the block buster albums from Fleetwood Mac, Boston, Supertramp, Al Stewart & The Eagles. These albums...

I bought this in Auckland too. A couple of years later i saw them at Sweatwaters festival.

Harvest by Neil Young was my first LP and Closing Time was my second in the late 70's. Boy did i give them a flogging. Thankfully i got to see both of them in Australia in the mid 80's.
