Very important old footage. I love the fact that we have this wonderful documentation that shows how graceful the dance looked before the dancers started dancing in the squat- like position that they began using in the 1960's.

It is true that Prince Ang Duong spent 27 years in Bangkok. He also spoke Thai more fluently than Khmer. When he returned to Cambodia he did take 2 Thai Dance troupes one male and one female. He eventually kept only the female troupe at court and the male dancers took their art into the villages....
