I do absolutely agree with you! Horowitz' interpretation of this heroic Polonaise in 87 is way better than the previous ones, including at the Moscow recital in 86. I admire Horowitz so much because although he was already 83 years old, he was still capable on making huge improvements...

In my opinion, this is Horowitz' best interpretation of the heroic polonaise. I like the idea that he plays the first theme with p (soft) sound, then he repeats the theme with f (strong) sound. I also love the fact that at the end for the Section B (4:36), he puts the fff (very very strong) soun...

this is horowitz' best performance of polka de W.R. in my opinion..... the rubato he put is just perfect. this polka performance is way better than the one he performed in london, 1982

frankly speaking i still prefer the 68 version to this one.... but the coda of this 78 version is amazing! probably the best coda of his carmen arrangement... he changed the coda in the beginning of 1977, as he said at the ann arbor seminar.....
