People with parochial attitudes, especially sports fans willing to forgive in their heroes, acts of thuggery, criminality and treachery, simply because 'he is one of ours'.

Casual racists and women haters, usually virginal deliquents, who have such little respect for themselves not to mind others, that they feel free to post moronic comments.

As someone who loves sports, both playing and watching, I have become jaded by the behaviour of so many professional sportsmen. They act as though their grossly inflated salaries and the devotion shown to them by supporters gives them licence to behave so wretchedly.
Of particular pain, as an Irishman, is the example of Roy Keane. He walked out on the Republic of Ireland when already at the World Cup of 2002. He claimed, and still claims to this day that he did so because of a lack of professionalism on the part of the Irish soccer governing body, the FAI. He also continues to make bogus claims that he was accused of faking injury. The truth is much more simple: he walked out on his country because he hated the manager of the team. Mick McCarthy, born in England to an Irish father won 57 Irish caps in an eight year international career, many as captain, was described by Keane as an "English cunt". And this coming from a man who has five English born children. Worse than the act of walking out on the team was the division created in the country. keane continued to snipe at his'enemies' during press conferences while managing English football teams. Since that career ended in failure, this outlet has been denied him, but the division continues.

Pet hate. Lazy, inconsiderate and idiot drivers who; don't indicate on exiting roundabouts, stay short-term parked with their full beams left on, and worst of all use disabled parking bays when not entitled.
I am willing to have a previously held view changed by anyone able to display a better understanding.
I have no evidence of the existence of God; neither do I have faith that Science and Rationality answer all our questions. This may just be the hangover of a Catholic upbringing.
We understand how humans develop or exercise physically, mentally, socially and culturally. But the trouble comes when we need to flex ourselves spiritually. For many people spiritually means religion. There is nothing wrong with going to a place of worship, be it a church, temple, mosque, or shrine to enjoy a quiet reverent tranquility and gather one's thoughts. The real problem arises when religious types immerse themselves in ancient texts and end up the equivalent of a weight-lifting steroid abuser, abnormal, aggressive and bent out of any natural shape.
