Up Close with Sumatran Tigers at San Diego Zoo Safari Park

We had a chance to view two amazing Sumatran tigers from less than 3-feet away at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park yesterday. Whenever this tiger saw a small child or a baby in a stroller pass by, he would get up and follow the child along the length of the fence. One tourist made the tiger walk back and forth repeatedly, like a remote control car, by walking his baby in different directions, in front of the beast. The Sumatran Tiger is a critically endangered species. There are probably less than 400 of these tigers left in the wild today. Show less
