read the power of five books by anthony horowitz! they're sort of a series of paranormal, horror-ish fantasy-ish books that say SCREW YOU to harry potter. from the author of alex rider,these books should have a film made from them, but a GOOD film (unlike stormbreaker - a good book but the film was almost as bad as harry potter. there are 4 books at the moment (raven's gate, evil star, nightrise, necropolis) - and they are all great! They are about five teens (matt - the english one, jamie and scott, the two native american twins, pedro the south american and scarlett the asian girl) who have strange paranormal powers (a bit like the x files) and must use them to defeat an upcoming evil (a bit like an alien invasion but with demons) as well as evil companies and witches. READ THEM OR ELSE YOU WILL FALL FOR HARRY POTTER!!!
