Lot's of cities have colder winters than Buffalo. Why doesn't any talk about the fact Buffalo has one of the sunniest and driest summers in the country. Buffalo had more sunny days than Orlando last year.

I've lived on Lake Erie my whole life and I still cannot beleive the Great Lakes can create waves so large. They get a lot larger than this,especially out in the lake.

Buffalo had more sunny days that any city in Florida last year, so I don't know what you're talking about. Why would want to move to southern Cal? Mud slides, wild fires every summer, smog, earthquakes, illegal immigrants. Nah thats alright, the quality of life is much better in Buffalo.

The widest part on the lake is almost 70 miles. There is no way in hell this guy walked across it. The lake only freezes all the way over every 15 years and even then there is open water in spots.

Poor? I live in Buffalo and am not poor. I don't think you want me to start comparing statistics between the US and Canada. Canada is that country that wanst to be the US, but knows it doesnt have what it takes, so they resort to tearing the us down instead.

Ummm......moron....Goat Island is US land on the other side of the Horseshoe Falls. Do your research. The American side is better because you have the American Falls, but canalso walk up to the Horseshoe Falls. The Candian side only has the far side actually touching the Falls.

You do understand that this is a lake right, not an ocean. Thats pretty incredible that you can surf like that on a lake.

South Buffalo and a few other towns got a couple feet of snow. Most areas still had green grass and the city wasn't touched. I love how the media misreports everything.

It is true. Buffalo is actually fairly sunny because of the lakes and relativly warmer in the winter in comparision to other cities at that latitude also because of the lake.

I love Lake Effect snow. I remember, cutting a vacation short in Florida and driving back to Buffalo.
