My views on several issues:
Health care: I am all for a public option/single-payer law. I am strongly against the private health insurance industry that has done nothing but bankrupt MILLIONS of their customers--talk about "death panels"!
Gun control: I am all for someone having a weapon to protect themselves and their family, but NOBODY needs AK-47's or other automatic weapons, and IMO, every person who does own a gun should be required to successfully attend gun-safety and ownership classes no longer than every 6 months to legally carry a firearm, and undergo psych evaluations every 6 months.
Gay Marriage: they don't hurt me, or anyone else so why deny them something they want? it's their choice.
Abortion: the mother is carrying the child, providing food for the child, it should be her choice. Now, before you lose your head, when I say it should be her choice, I mean if she is being irresponsible or having 2nd thoughts to caring for the baby once it is born and wants an abortion for that--no, to me that is murder. However, if she was raped or incest is cause of conception, than it should be her choice to abort it, because this was not her choice to be forced to have this child.
Medical marijuana: I am for legalizing it, but *ONLY* for chronic painful medical conditions, and only where it is regulated. I am against people using it just for the hell of it or for broken limbs--those are not chronic painful conditions.
Immigration: I don't have a problem with someone wanting to move to this country, as long as they do it the legal way, which means completing all their paperwork, etc BEFORE they come to this country, and I don't give a shit if they have a parent, sibling, child, etc here. Canada has this law enacted and is very strict with enforcing it, why isn't the US?
Death Penalty: I am a liberal all for it for major crimes; particularly where DNA evidence proves it.
The tea party: they're full of crap! If they were so concerned about "small government" than why did they put up both Bush and McCain as their two previous candidates on the right?
President Barack Obama: as someone who voted for him and donated to his campaign in 2008, I can no longer do that; even if he runs in 2012. I can't support someone who is continuing Bush's failed economic policies--I'm middle class and from that tax cut bill he extended, I got a whopping $5 more per week out of it, while someone who is upper class is making over $1000 more per week ( or much more in some cases. ) ALL of this comes at the hands of *BORROWED Chinese money!* This is totally fucked up. We need a *TRUE* progressive leader in the White House--and not someone who bows to corporate welfare and bailing out the rich.
Not to mention the temp services that have this economy in a strangle-hold, NOBODY is doing shit to stop these income-killing staffing companies from taking full-time work away from folks already doing the job, but I guess this is the consequence of not one president doing shit to stop corporations from sending jobs overseas to China and other foreign lands so they can get yet, another, tax break for doing so.
Government programs that need to be eliminated: IRS and Homeland Security.
Seriously re-structured: FDA.
Furthermore, *ANYONE* ( I don't give a rats ass if they're dem, repub, or 3rd party ) who does NOT support a robust, strong 100% government-ran public option health insurance reform, I will do my best to vote them the hell out! I'm tired of paying for their SOCIALIZED care, but yet, they deny us ours?!?!?!??
Yes, this includes you, Joe Lieberman, Max Baucus and Olympia Snowe--3 pieces of shit we could do without!!
BUH-BYE Lieberman, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out in 2012!!!

Lastly, please do not send me friend requests if you are not into politics. This is a politics-related channel, and I am trying to keep it that way.
Thank you.

About Me:
"Property monopolized or in possession of a few is a curse to mankind." --- John Adams, 1765
"No man ought to own more property than needed for his livelihood; the rest, by right, belonged to the state." --Benjamin Franklin
"If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich"
-- John F. Kennedy ( damn, I sure wish Kennedy was president now--he's still greatly missed even 50 yrs later! )
"It's class warfare, my class is winning, but they shouldn't be." --Warren Buffett, World's Richest Person 2007
"Those who would destroy or further limit the rights of organized labor -- those who would cripple collective bargaining or prevent organization of the unorganized -- do a disservice to the cause of democracy.
Fifty years or so ago the American Labor Movement was little more than a group of dreamers, and look at it now. From coast to coast, in factories, stores, warehouse and business establishments of all kinds, industrial democracy is at work.
Employees, represented by free and democratic trade unions of their own choosing, participate actively in determining their wages, hours and working conditions. Their living standards are the highest in the world. Their job rights are protected by collective bargaining agreements. They have fringe benefits that were unheard of less than a generation ago.
Our labor unions are not narrow, self-seeking groups. They have raised wages, shortened hours and provided supplemental benefits. Through collective bargaining and grievance procedures, they have brought justice and democracy to the shop floor. But their work goes beyond their own jobs, and even beyond our borders.
Our unions have fought for aid to education, for better housing, for development of our national resources, and for saving the family-sized farms. They have spoken, not for narrow self-interest, but for the public interest and for the people."
~ President John F. Kennedy
