@JayByrd53 indeed...you are one of the few people that know that this song was actually recorded 3x's.The original in 1963,the version we're commenting on in 1999 and there was a version recorded in between the two in which Joe did the total lead.

@neoguy216 This song was recorded twice in the studio and this is the original version written and produced by the late Rev James Cleveland on epic records in 1979.The second studio version was recorded on the project"Power" in 1995 on intersound records....but either way this is the "Clouds"sign...

Folks can say what they want,but when willie died;quartet began the journey to a slow death as well.Lee came along and gave it a shot in the arm,but it just aint the same...and the young groups today dont appear to have the same passion for it as the pioneers had for it and there's no originallit...

@roryxt LOL...I think this is one of the most debatable topics in soul music,but I give the "jays" the ups on this one,because they didnt try to duplicate it;they took it and made it theirs.The production and vocal delivery is absolutely superb...dont get no better than this.
