If your reading this then you obviously want to know a little bit about me.... Well i'm 22, been brought up in the middle of the yorkshire dales round aload of sheep, cows, smelly farmers and old people that just fooking love bingo... I'm proud of my roots and my upbringing made me who i am today!
I like to play loud music and my friends tell me im good at it so i've decided to make a career out of it! I've been lucky enough to play at some of the worlds biggest clubs and have been tipped by some to be the next big thing... I've owned decks since i was 12 year old after i told my older brother i wanted a pair and the dodgy fucker paid some junky sort me some out... I bought the buggas with mi grandads will money.... cheers grandad you were a legend!
I now live in Leeds in a dead good city centre apartment, which is quality, and im on a one man mission to live a happy life and be successful in everything i do, i love life and appreciate everything and everyone around me, Some people say i bring a smile to their face i never judge anyone and only take people at face value, every1 is different and no1 is perfect, if your right with me... im right with you!
Its been a rollercoaster year for 23 year old DJ, Luke Pompey! Earning rave reviews from club promoters across the globe, promoting his own parties Statik & Decimal, DJing on Galaxy FM for the second time to over a million listeners, playing internationally across Europe, producing & engineering his debut singles, taking the North by storm and embracing the white isle with breathtaking performances Luke is definitely one to watch!
Working alongside one of the major players in the dance music scene 4clubbers.net has seen Luke play at some of the worlds most prestigious clubs and parties such as Gatecrasher Summer Sound System, Cream @ Amnesia Ibiza, Tiesto Live @ Privilege Ibiza, Goodgreef, Kissdafunk, VeryVeryWrongIndeed, Monza, Sankeys & Circoloco UK tour date @ Sankeys to name a few, alongside some of the worlds most prolific guest DJs such as Tiesto, Tom Novy, Groove Armada, Basement Jaxx, Gregor Tresher, Paul Woolford, Marco V, Axwell & Ingrosso, Fedde Le Grande, and the worlds biggest DJ Paul Van Dyk when 4clubbers.net hosted the Terrace at Cream Amnesia last summer making Luke the youngest ever UK DJ to play Amnesia.
Lukes growing popularity is firmly forging his career as one of the UK's most in demand young DJ's, An unforgettable past 4 seasons in Ibiza have seen him destroy super clubs Eden, Amnesia, Privilege, Kanya, Underground, and for Kissdafunk @ Es Paradis as well as making guest appearances at The Zoo Project and Ketoloco. Luke's enthusiasm, professionalism and complete commitment to what he does are cementing his reputation in Leeds and the North. In an era where it is notoriously hard to stand out from the crowd Luke prides himself on his own passion and energy during his sets..... not forgetting a technical ability that has to be seen to be believed! With the use of the Pioneer EFX-1000 FX unit, CD decks, Ableton, accapellas, loops and tools, he makes his sets completely his own, and this allows his love for music to shine through.
2008 has shaped up to be a massive year and has seen Luke feature as an exclusive guest at the worlds biggest ever club promotion Tiesto Live In Search of Sunrise Tour @ Privilege Ibiza in partnership with the UK's biggest dance radio station Galaxy FM & Electrik Playground. As well as this he completed a 10 day tour of Austalia in conjunction with the release of his track "Dancin" to Australian label Hu-Jo, and international work for Kissdafunk in Majorca. In 2009 Luke will be continuing his weekly saturday night residency with Leeds' most famous club Mission and brands Electrik Playground, Kissdafunk & Gatecrasher, DJ gigs along side both Basement Jaxx and Audio Bullies along with releases due on his debut productions. He also has a live visual show that will launch, taking this already astonishing talent to the next level.....It's clear from the reaction he get wherever he plays that Luke is destined to be one of the industrys major players!
