You might check out "Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness" from the album "The Extremist". It's not quite this slow in tempo, but isn't quite so much of a fret burner. It also radiates pure joy and is likely to put your happy pants on. :)

Actually, I rather like the "unnecessary part" myself. It exemplifies the thick horn section arrangements that Chicago was well known for. I always used to wait for that part on the radio, only to be disappointed by some blabbing DJ instead.
