Ya, like 2am at Avery eastbound, 10:30pm or so westbound. I remember EB we got into Missoula around 6am. So in the summer, one might see a bit of the Bitterroots WB but not much. Schedule was timed to get the most out of the Rocky Mountains, Butte to Harlowton.

Actually, the Grand Trunk line through there was torn up in 1984, and the Narrow Gauge was laid down in 1993 with surplus rail from one of the Maine standard gauge lines - B&M I think. It's all 80lb rail.
