The Lake

I sit by the Lake, I think and I feel
My dreams, my emotions, they're strong, they're real
The lake rolling in, the sun going down
A breeze brushes through this peaceful little town

A seagull soars by
People stop and say, "Hi"
A family of ducks swim by
The glare of the sun hits my eye

The sound of the water, complete tranquility
I wonder what this life wants from me
Is it my heart, my mind, the way I rhyme
Or is it the moments I capture in time

I know there's much I have to give
I know I have time to live
At the lake I ponder, what's out there for me
I see a future that is yet to be
