About Playroom Productions ™
Playroom Productions ™ is a home-grown independent movie company which started during the summer of 1988 in the suberbs of Orange County, CA. Armed with just a bulky VHS Panasonic camcorder and a bunch of neighborhood kids, George Newnam, who was only 12 years old at the time, wrote, edited, and directed a series of films from 1988-1993. Most of these films dealt with dark comedy or horror. Now, thanks to the wonders of YouTube we'll be showcasing most of these films to the world for the very first time. Some of which haven't been seen in ages.
During the years of 1995-1998 Playroom Productions ™ shifted gears into student films. George produced a series of shorts while enrolled in Chapman University's Film School in Orange, CA. Before graduating, he completed his Senior Film, "FEAST", a short dark comedy which was featured at the 2003 Shriek Fest, a horror film festival held in Hollywood, CA. Currently, George continues being involved in artistic endeavors.
