MARTIN 006 was given the title playboy by friends and associates who had not only witnessed his affinity for success with the fairer sex, but also his lifestyle and penchant for the finer things. This is coupled with remarkable musical ability, as he is a sublime lyricist AND does varied production in dancehall reggae, hip hop, and electronica, as seen with his contributions throughout the SKIFLAZ catalogue as well as family artists such as the S.Y.N. Camp, and associates in Rug-Ged productions, and Bl!ngRR records. MARTIN 006 was born in Kingston, Jamaica, where he was born into an artistic and music loving family. This was evident with the amount and type of music being played, as well as the frequency. It is this mix of genres, from Reggae to Ska to Jazz to Dancehall, which lead to an amazing pool of influences for MARTIN 006 to draw from. Importantly, this also had a part in creating a base of musical research and knowledge and a propensity to utilize influences and instruments across genres. As an original member of the SKIFLAZ CRU, with LEXXUS Diamonds , Andrew Dru Rae Wray, and BOOZYBEE, he found a collective that shared a progressive musical attitude, and made music with the same passion and substance. Also, after relocating to the South Florida area from Jamaica in the year 2000, and wanting to expand his musical expertise, he linked with other local artists and producers but could not fully synthesize the sound he craved. Thus, he began creating instrumentals of his own with the specific purpose of furthering the class of music being produced. Here, he also provided instrumentals for the other members in the endeavour and thus became a one stop music factory, crafting incredible instrumentals and conveying sharp, witty, highly intelligent lyrics with a direct, multi-layered delivery. Also, with attention grabbing forays into acting and other media; MARTIN 006 demonstrates a cornucopia of unbelievable talents; illustrating that the goal of world domination is well within his grasp; and will keep fans and skeptics alike - checking newspaper headlines when they wake up every morning
