The sniper rifle seems to "Aim unpredictably" because of bullet drop. It's been a mechanic since Bad Company 2. My advice in Bad Company 2 is to get a pump-action shotgun with magnum ammo, slugs and as high a zoom scope as you can, then you will snipe snipers from 300m away.
