A lot of the criticism I see below isn't so succinct but what it comes down to is that you guys are way too pretentious. Additionally, you've turned reviewing music into some sort of rating guide. I wonder how many people just look at that number and ignore the text (not that it has much substance anyway, as it rarely explains just what is so bad about an album, anyway), saying "It's above a 6; it's fine" or "it's a 3.8; skipping this one".

Really though, I just want a history lesson on how you fuckers got so influential. I want to know the proper procedure for becoming "Reputable" and garnering a braindead following.

i check your site for the news and reviews, but to be honest the news is getting less and less frequently updated, you didnt even post that Ryan Adams got married to Mandy Moore for pete's sake!

I think any criticisms of PFM just illustrate how human the site really is. I mean, it's not possible to be unbiased and it's not possible to ALWAYS give music an accurate rating. If anything, where the site works is their consistency on a certain type of music. Other than that, most of what they say is just them mentally masturbating. It's not real criticism. Take it for what it is.

Your reviewers a ridiculously biased and couldn't possibly kiss more ass. I'm ashamed to say that I was a fan... Until I read your review of Patrick Watson's "Wooden Arms". A 3.3!?! Seriously!? What's so bad about it? The eerie yet comforting ambiance and instrumentation? The soothing yet haunting vocals? The gigantic, yet almost minimalistic orchestration? The album is a absolute masterpiece, but you wouldn't have been able to spot it unless it was some crazy ludicrous, silly-titled indie band or had Thom Yorke's name stapled to its ass.

Shittiest review site I've seen. Giving Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Pearl Jam and Bob Dylan of all people such terrible reviews testifies to this. The terribly warped and biased standards the reviewers have shows they know nothing of anything other than no name bands.
