Mass Effect definitely reminded me a lot of Star Control 2. But you know what? I still liked Star Control better. The storylines were better, the music was better, and the exploration was way more fun.

God this brings back memories. This is one of the finest video game tracks of all time. Somebody really needs to do a modernised version of this.

This is kind of a weird video. Punk Avril is a total bully to nerdy Avril, but she still gets the guy in the end. Oh, and the song is about stealing a guy from another girl. I could understand it if Punk Avril was somehow shown to be a better match for the guy, but this just makes Punk Avril ...

The original has muddy vocals and guitar. This really brings the beautiful melody to the forefront. All that's missing is the whomping-stomping drums that made the original so good.
