Filippo has been playing the piano since he managed for the first time, perhaps at the age of 3, to reach the keyboard of the old Steinbuhler upright that graced his parents house.

Filippo has played in the band Contromano for more than 10 years. He is the groups song writer and he still helps to bring down the house during their occasional reunions.

He played in jazz clubs and at soloist concerts in Europe and Asia, and has composed several soundtracks for short films.

Filippos music is in constant evolution. His pieces alternate classical sounds with rhythmic jazz, world music, blues and tango and follow standard forms and improvisations dictated by the emotions of the moment and the empathy generated by those listening and playing with him.

His music is not supported by fixed structures, but follows a thread that promotes dreams, imagination and mental journey.
