Do you have self hate issues? I don't think you're comfortable with being gay. I feel like you're ashamed of being gay. Thus, you're ashamed of yourself. And for the record, there is no such thing as acting or sounding gay. Gay is not an act. The question is, do you sound effeminate. Because gay is dating a person of the same sex not talking with a lisp and having feminine qualities. There are both masculine and feminine gay men just like there are both masculine and feminine straight men. Learn to love yourself first and the negativity will subside.
