Pinion hailing from Rockland County New York.
Emerging from the wastelands of New York, better known as Rockland County, Pinion has quickly gained a reputation within the local heavy metal community as one of 2008s premiere acts to follow. Since early 2007 this uncompromising & masterful line-up has been hard at work writing, recording, polishing and performing songs for their freshman release The Rise from Nothing E.P.
Pinions sound blends chilling growls, serene vocal compositions intricate, shredding guitars and a ruthless rythematic assault that will either leave you lifeless on the mosh pit floor, or screaming after the show thirsting for more.
The Track list for Rise From Nothing, has enough hellacious fire to cook up a disc full of melodic death anthems. With standout tracks like "Alice," and Empty shell Pinion confirms their unique blend of style and influence can not be categorized easily.
By having such diverse taste and sound, Pinion has been able to stay ahead of the generalizing and labeling game.
With Charles Corletta, (Percussion) and Chris Taylor, (Bass) providing the back bone to Pinions rhythm and mayhem along with The infectious intricacies of Dave Dougherty and Chirag Pujara, on guitars Mike Hervey lends a sadistic blend of laconic singing and demonic growls to provide a sound that tears into your mind and soul.
