I know this comparison has been made before, but what I love about this movie is how the visuals, the music, and small melancholic touches (the way Togusa looks at the children in this scen) evoke the same mood as Bladerunner. I never get tired of watching either of these films.

Great movie. I eventually learned to love the lyrics of its music as well.

I have this on one of those cheapo Spaghetti Western collections. I hadn't read the synopsis for the movie, so I was truly surprised when Lee Van Cleef got killed near the beginning. By far the best moment was seeing seeing him again as the badass twin-- nice surprise!

I first saw this movie on the 'Nightmare Worlds' Millcreek 50-pack, and what drew me to the movie was Mr. Smith's performance. The movie is somewhat underrated, in my opinion-- and ironically more interesting than a lot of the stuff I see today.
