Living in Mesquite, Texas, Chris now casts a shadow of terror to all restaurants in the area.

The first of his generation to be born outside the Philippines, Chris was raised in the Dallas area from infancy to high school. He then left after high school for the US Navy on August of 1998 with an active duty enlistment of six years. For two years, he had to put up with three schools in electronics, focusing primarily on fire control systems. He received specialty training for the Aegis Weapon System's multi-function radar system, AN/SPY-1D.

Upon school graduation, Chris reported aboard the guided-missile destroyer, USS Cole (DDG-67), which is homeported in Norfolk, Virginia. Halfway through his first deployment, Chris and the rest of the Cole crew struggled for three weeks after their ship was bombed by a suicide terrorist attack on October 12, 2000 in the port of Aden, Yemen.

Chris elected to stay aboard the Cole, despite growing symptoms of post traumatic stress. The USS Cole was returned to the US and rebuilt, returning back to the US Navy in April of 2002. During that time, Chris excelled in the arena of anti-air and anti-surface naval warfare and helped set the standard for naval combat operations.

Also, Chris began a heavy involvement in anti-terrorism/force protection aspects and quickly became tactical combat and weapons expert of the ship. He quickly mastered and qualified watchstations and qualifications well ahead of time and often beyond the scope of his rank.

Chris was honorably discharged from the US Navy on August of 2004 and has returned back to Mesquite, Texas, where he works on machines for a precision metal grinding facility in Dallas.

He can often be found depleting food at an alarming rate at various local restaurants. Restaurants that have mud pies, banana splits and/or tiramisu are at higher risk. While his cooking skills leave food in the category of biohazard, he is proud to announce that he has gotten good at making a German chocolate pie.
