@pegjh Stukas were retired from Battle of England due to high of loses. British pilots (Spitfire or Hurricane) spoke of "Stuka party" when Stuka went to battle with no fighter escort. And, on the other hand, slow speed made very difficult for Me109 to protect the much slower Stuka.

@martynrobin121 Probably you are right. But on the other hand it was quite undertandable italian people did not grasp the need of entering into a war against Russia & USA & UK. And German people followed their leader (bravely but not wisely ) until total disaster.

@Aptitude : Are you sure? I would say you are right if you consider UK +USA, but taking only UK into account? Weapons production in Germany was rather chaotic due to the particular organization (or lack of it) in Nazi Germany (until Speer took charge), but your figures are difficult to accept for...

@anzaclaxbro Germany and Soviet Union killed people for what they WERE, not for what they DID.

That kind of "social engineering" was (in my opinion) one of the worst characteristics of XX Century.

That said, in my opinion Nazi policies were (even / slightly) worse than Sovier ones.

I learnt that this beautiful music was used in Casablanca film as a pro nazi music instead of Horts Wessel (due to possible royalty problems in neutral countries).
