A little history...
Pietro Vitale Jazz Combo is born in the' 94, and is realization of an ancient one plan of the Leader of the group, the drummer Pietro Vitale.
This plan begins its concretize in the' 96 with recording of the first CD " my music "in trio with Fausto Ferraiuolo and Tony Ronga.
After several experiences and concerts in turn for Italy, in 1997 Pietro Vitale it transfers for some months in Brasil, to Rio de Janeiro, where he has way to breathe to full loads lungs the musical culture carioca, playing with various Brazilian musicians (Idriss Boudrioua, Mauro Senise, Paulo Russo, Dario Galante) and deepening the study of the they rhythms with the drummer Pascoal Meirelles.
Remained fascinated from this experience, ago return in Italy and, shortly, enters newly in study for to record according to album: " Então Està ", an expression Brazilian gergale that can translate "and goes beh! ... it is therefore! ...".
For the recording of this album, the group comes renewed with the acquisition of Francesco Lo Cascio to vibes, Julian Oliver Mazzariello to the piano, Attilio Zanchi to the bass and enriched from the trumpet of Marco Brioschi and from the saxes of Tino Tracanna.
Always following the impulse to search new sonorità, the leader the organic one widens ulteriorly of the Jazz Combo, carrying it to very twelve elements with the added one of Luigi Vitale to vibes, Ivan Iannone to cello, Aldo Vigorito to bass, Emidio Ausiello to the percussions, Nicola Ferro to the trombone, Roberto Martinelli to sax and Ferdy Mazzariello to voice.
The Pietro Vitale Jazz Combo has realized tour both in Italy and to the foreign countries, and participating with success in different manifestations of prestige. After the leader is granted a long period of break by the musical scene to travel in India and to make the knowledge of a new culture and he is so that in May '08 realize the new disk "Colors of the soul" with a new project "Pietro Vitale Ensemble" already involving besides the musicians present in the precedent album, musicians of color what Paul Dabiré (percussions) and Alassane Doulougou (voice), the voice of Pina Cavanna, Tommaso Scannapieco to the bass, Manuel Pino to electric bass, Giancarlo Perna to the guitar, Roberto Schiano to the trombone, Mark Guidolotti to the sax baritone and a quartet of arcs of the school salernitana.
