Iam an amateur chess player from the united kingdom.I have played chess since i was eleven years old in 1970.I first played for my school,John Smeaton in the schools league(1970-1975).I later progressed to tournaments and evening league chess.I had no training or coaching when i was a junior.Iam more or less 'self taught'.My claim to fame was to take first place in a rapid play(10 seconds per move)lightning tournament at Scarborough in 1990,ahead of international grandmaster Mihai Suba of Romania.
I play for my club Yorkshire Copperworks in the evening league tournament.Please enjoy the games i have presented here.I hope you may find them both entertaining and instructional.Thankyou to all my subscibers who have signed up to my videos.
