About Me:
 
Nathan Qi hails from the culturally rich city of Ottawa, Canada. He began studying music at age five with Frances Balodis, the founder of the organization Music for Young Children. In the following years, he continued his music education with three different Russian musicians. Nathan credits one of these teachers, Stanislav Venglenski, for discovering his musical talents and providing him with a unique, multi-faceted musical education. Alongside traditional music instruction, Venglenski taught Nathan to play the game of chess, as well as the bayan, a Russian-style chromatic button accordion.
Starting from 2008, Nathan studies piano with Professor Judit Jaimes and Professor Elena Abend at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. He has made huge progress under their instructions. Nathan's dream is to become a concert pianist just like Yundi Li, Lang Lang, Kissin.

Love Nathan's playing on Beethoven Concerto No. 1 C major op.15, very charming and energetic, this is one of my favourite Concerto performance ! All triplets are clear and fluid ! Keep on moving, music for our peace heart and soul.
