@nexusajah : I think these are the Black Argiope Spider...harmless to humans - VERY beneficial to gardens, eliminating many garden pests.

@micro77s : If this show was broadcasted around 1952 - 1953, then this could have been Avalon - he was known to have played trumpet, as a kid, and being born in 1940 would have put him around 12, 13 yrs. old, here.

John did a lot of 'reminiscing' with his old songs, including one I have on cassette with him messing around with "Girl" in-between takes of "Woman"...I think this sounds more like one of those times he was 'reminiscing' on the piano at the Dakota...something he said he often would do to get insp...

@MrJMD37: He performed live the following year (1975)...Concert for Lew Grade...it's on YouTube. He does "Slippin' and Slidin' ", plus "Imagine" (on guitar).
