About this user

At the age of 7, I began studying piano. After discovering jazz, at 14, I attended the National Music School. In this period, I used to hang out in jazz clubs and began sitting in at various jam sessions. At the age of 16, I made my debut on the jazz scene at the Sofia International Jazz Meeting. The prestigious European Jazz Forum magazine came up with an article on my performance. At that time my interest in contemporary music started growing and after graduating, I studied composition at the National Academy of Music with prominent Bulgarian composers. While at the Academy, I was awarded with the special UBC's scholarship for composition. My works have been performed, recorded and published in Bulgaria, France, Japan and Korea. Nowadays I am active as a jazz pianist and arranger. I play at jazz venues and work as a studio musician. Whether it's cool jazz, ballad or party music, I am doing my best.
