I have to agree that it is indeed a masterpiece. I think Grieg is undervalued as a writer of large-scale works, but he proved on several occasions that he was a master of sonata form. Also, does anyone know the Ballade Op. 24 for piano? It's another great piece!

Very good breath control. This is a very difficult lied to sing at the right tempo. The pianist (unfortunately not named! ) could have used more pedal, which would have enhanced the performance as a whole, and it's a pity the correct ending wasn't played, but generally not bad.
