Meet Phyzical Thurapy, an independent hip hop duo from Chicago who have made their mark in the underground hip hop scene. Their fan base has gained over 500,000 listeners on Myspace and Facebook. In addition to selling countless digital downloads online, they have also distributed CD's across the world. On April 15, 2009, Phyzical Thurapy achieved recognition on ABC's 'Good Morning America' by lending their song "Welcome To Chicago" to Stev Elam's PSA for a Wired Safety commercial, a campaign to enhance the safety for teens browsing the internet. On December 6, 2010, Phyzical Thurapy went live on UK radio station 90.1 Hope FM with Allan Turner-Ward. Songs 'Dressed 2 Kill' and 'Amerikan Dream' were officially introduced to mainstream radio in the United Kingdom.
Phyzical Thurapy were born and raised in the city of Chicago, Illinois. The hip-hop duo is made up of brothers A.J. Presley (Phyzical) and Alan Armani (Thurapy). They were inspired to music at a young age and overcame the struggles in life of being raised by a single mother. A lot of inspiration came from artists such as Michael Jackson, 2pac, Eminem, Jay-Z, Beastie Boys and LMFAO. In the early years in Chicago, Phyzical Thurapy had very little amount of cash in their pockets to do anything at all except grab a pen and paper to write down real-life experiences through lyrics and fresh hooks. In 1994, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri with their family where they spent 4 years of their childhood until 1998. They finished high school at home through independent study in just 2 years to focus on music.
In 2000, PT moved down to Central Florida for college, where they adapted to a whole new style of music which they incorporated into their own tracks. While working 2 jobs and attending Valencia Community College, they began recording music on underground material and mix tapes in Orlando, Florida which quickly circulated around the city and thus was the beginning of what would become Phyzical Thurapy.
Since 2004, Phyzical Thurapy currently reside in Los Angeles, California. In 2008, Phyzical Thurapy released the first single 'Amerikan Dream' off their debut album 'Motivation.' After promoting CD's at nightclubs and shopping malls, the track instantly became a hit in Southern California and spread across the internet. PT continued with success from singles 'Dressed 2 Kill' and 'Welcome To Chicago.' Their music has reached not only fans, but major record producers, international DJs, and even label executives. Phyzical Thurapy continues to produce, write, promote, and distribute music that inspires them from real life experiences.
Today 'Phyzical Thurapy' is best known for their 'Club Music.' Words can't describe these two talented artists. The only way to know is to listen for yourself, and step inside the world of Phyzical Thurapy.
