A 10 hour game is classic now. The age of 10+ hour in first person/third person linear games is finished. To increase play time you must either have RPG elements, a sandbox, multiplayer, or a very difficult game. If you want a simply longer campaign, be prepared to pay more.

The only problem with shotguns is reload rate. It's quicker to pop in another magazine than a few more shotgun shells. Granted, always dependent on the shotgun it's self... but I'd almost got for the assault rifle most days. haha
