Maybe more comments for this because "Twist and Shout" by the Isley Brothers sounds a hell of a lot better than "Lucy in the Sky . . . "

Williams will never be surpassed as the greatest hitter of all time. As Donald Honig wrote, "Williams had everything, beginning with high ambition and deep resolve."
No steroids, just determination, diligence, observation, and constant practice, and genius.

Regardless of the origin of the state's name, thanks for posting this great fight song. No wonder the Beach Boys used it in "Be True to Your School." I agree with the person who play it to support those protesting that creep Walker's actions. Run the SOB out of office, and let him hear the music!

ESEE-4 splitting tough wood - hawthorn !
This vid is just to show how the ESEE-4 splits relatively thick wood by batoning and the use of wedges.
I expected the logs to be easier to split ...

I also have an ESEE-4, which I love, but on hikes into rough country, I also carry a 15-inch Sven saw, and a small Eswing camp ax. While this due is knocking himself out, I'd have plenty of wood split with my Estwing. The ESEE-4 will sure baton some good wood, but, if you can, use the right tool ...

Just found this on here last night. Thanks so much for posting it. It's sad and beautiful. Can't get enough of the Carter Family, or of Maybelle and her guitar. This must be very early Carter Family. Notice the traditional southern mountain pronunciation of hair, Carolina, etc.
Wonderful. Thank...

Doesn't get any better than this-- simple, with lots of raw energy and feeling. Not over-produced. Everything about this works. That's why it's still great after 55 years, and why it will be just as great in another 55 years!
Thank you

The original Carter Family, 1930. That's probably the first recording. Hard to believe Maybelle Carter was just 21 or so then. You'd think she'd been playing the guitar for 50 years to be that good. But I love Woody Guthrie too. He had a great spirit.
That is, I TREAT the tang (and blade) with a good rust preventative . . Sorry for the typo. I do love the Izula. That and my ESEE-4 make a terrific combo.
