i practice wing chun basically. i have done gulao wing chun as well as yip man style wing chun both on traditional and modern or modified or "evolved" wing chun.

my search for the best or practical martial arts ends here. i did karate and muay thai but when i touched wing chun i was surprised how amazing the art is... yet its very simple. well structured, tricky, a classic art and a masterpiece with principles and theories behind it makes it even easier to learn and simple to execute. when you get it right you constantly use minimum effort to greatest effect. (less is more). there are many millions of other martial arts out there but this one is enough for me.

i respect all forms of wing chun. as far as i am concerned all wing chun whatever lineage is/are good.. there are no bad wing chun. however there are better ones than others. only good, better, best and best amongst the best hahaha some even in a different league... you just have to laugh because its the truth.

the other truth as well is that there are more sifus' than students... again you just have to laugh.

but the possitive is eveyone that reach a certain level can teach so the art can spread even more.

wing chun is not the most popular sports in the world because it is simply not a sport.

but it is the most loved or hated and the most mis-understood art on earth.(very long story and history).

today, there are so much infighting within wing chun family which is terrible but at the same time its good for competition in a way... to better themselves against other wing chun styles and hopefully the art will continue to evolve and grow to a higher level.

my lineage:

yip man lineage; -CHAN WAH SHUN- LEUNG BIK- YIP MAN- 1)NG JUNG SO- 2)LOK YUI- 3)JUI WAN- 4)LEE SHING.

{1, 2, 3 & 4 are 4 of the top 5 student of yip man the other is tsui sheung tin also wong shong leung.. so there must be 6 top students then.} lee shing is not known to outsiders because he was taught by yip man in private when he found out they share the same wing chun ancestors and they became good friends. he inherited a training butterfly knives from yip man and in turn my sifu inherited it and i am proud to say i trained with those same training butterfly knives. knives straight from the man.. amazing... more amazing is... his wing chun straight from the man himself as well as his other top students thru lee shing then passed down to my sifu.

gulao lineage; LEUNG JAN- CHAN WAH SHUN- WONG WAH SUM- FONG YEE MING- FUNG LIM- KEE SIU LEUNG- FUNG SANG- LEE SHING.

my sifu has a phoenomenal wing chun knowledge you have to touch hand with him to believe. i owe all my skills from him.

contrary to what people say that it is the individual not the art but to me im just an ordinary person that practice wing chun... and the wing chun i practice is the special one... really special... you never know until you learnt it from a good sifu and good lineage.

wing chun is a good art, dynamic, beautiful and a good family. im glad and proud i belong.
