In 1968 Bruce was a handsome 22 year-young aspiring actor. He was given a reasonably prominent part as Benvolio in (gay) film director Franco Zeffirelli's 'Romeo and Juliet'. The story is basically the classic "casting couch" scenario leading up to Bruce getting the part in the film.
