I am proud to be a FILIPINO BUT don't condone some wrong acts that most Filipinos enjoy doing...
Here are some of my positive and negative observations about the race where I belong:
# FILIPINOS DO SMILE EVEN IN THE MIDST OF CRISIS not because they are ignorant but because they are happy people naturally. (thousands of proofs are considered and witnessed)
# In conformity with my friend's statement, MOST FILIPINOS ARE STAR-ORIENTED when it comes to watching movies. It's true and indeed, we only patronize a film, indi-film for an instance, when it's cast(s) or star(s) are awarded internationally. (so sad but true)
# MANY PEOPLE FROM MANILA ARE SUPER SENSITIVE AND OVERREACTING TO THE ACCENT OF OTHER TAGALOG NATIVE SPEAKERS FROM THE PROVINCES. They mock and even look down on them. Do they think theirs is the only right and the most perfected style?! naman! and what's bad on the side of some probinsyanos is that they ride on the nonsense pranks of urban people. They try changing their accent to Manila people way just to feel they are fitted in... kaane! so what's wrong on the way I speak being a probinsyana? Am i prejudged? sorry but my capacity doesn't solely rely on that.
# THIS COUNTRY IS CUSTOMARY WESTERNIZED, a poor thing that I personally admit I have been guilty with. But how I wish their cleanliness in surroundings and the manner they run their government were the things we inherited.
