About the film-maker: Eduardo "Phillip" Habacon attended the University of the Philippines (at Los Banos) where he studied Applied Mathematics & Sociology.

In 2005, he qualified as a professional PADI Open Water Instructor in Thailand. Prior to that, he became a qualified PADI Divemaster in 2003. He started SCUBA diving in Thailand on 2001.

Training & Certification

From 2003-2005 he worked as a full-time PADI Divemaster/DSD Leader in Pattaya training more than 300 Discover Scuba Divers.

On May 2005, under the tutelage of the late Course Director Steve Blumenthal (Mermaids 5 star CDC in Pattaya), he qualified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor with flying colors.

Now a Master Scuba Diver Trainer with over 3,000 logged dives, he has issued certification to more than a hundred PADI divers.

During this period he did extensive underwater films in Thailand, Maldives, Philippines & briefly in Canada.

His personal equipment for underwater imaging & editing include:

Sony mini-DV
Ikelite housing
Olympus E-20 DSLR
Light & Motion Tetra housing

He is happily married to Lizette Mabini-Habacon and together with their 9-year old son Hans Edward M Habacon III they reside in Pattaya Beach, Thailand.
